PTI's 5th Anniversary Day One #4

Still watching the Super Bowl here...what about you?    This is my fourth card for Day One.   I am glad we started on a Sunday.   I may not be able to keep up this pace during the work week.

I am turning to one of my perennial favs for this post.  Melissa P is always layering and stacking and vintage-ing out her works.   I just love her stuff everyday and I tried to get the same effect with this card.

Here is her's

I tried to use lace like she does and a vintage earring I cut up.   I also used her ever present seam binding ribbon.   See what you think.....

Products:

Basic Grey card stock
Vintage Earring
Vintage Lace
Pearls
Seam Binding
PTI rustic cream twine
PTI Sweet Blush Card Stock

More to come :)

PTI's 5th Anniversary Day One #3

I am so pumped by this anniversary!   Nicole has a great challenge for us.  I think she made it just for us girls while we watch the BORING Super Bowl and the half-time show.   I dont know about you, but I am NOT impressed with Madonna's show.  Pom Poms.....really....you are 50 something!

So I digress,  sorry.

I love ALL the DT members, but I am just drawn by Jessica's card this time.

Here is another card I made based on her's.
My card is not as simple.   Why do I always think it needs more?  I used the same colors and an impression plate, but maybe I should have left off the bottom row?   Oh well, it was fun to do!

Products are all PTI unless noted.

Quatrefoil die
Mat Stack 4 die
Mat Stack 4 Stamp Set
Doily Dies
Aqua Mist ink, ribbon, and card stock
Rustic Cream twine
Martha Stewart White Gold Glitter
Stampers' Select White Card Stock

Just a few more cards to come......

Acess:  vintage earring, butterfly, pearls, border

PTI's 5th Anniversary Day One #2

Back again for another project based on Nicole's Challenge for the 5th Bday festivities!   Are you as excited as I am?   I cannot wait to see all this month has in store for us PTI junkies.

This is my second project for today's challenge.   I used Jessica Witty's card.

I was inspired by her simple design and color choices.   I have never used the doily die as an impression plate, but I will.

Here is my take:

Products are all PTI:

Vintage Cream Card Stock
Ocean Tides ribbon, card stock, ink and button
Mat Stack 5 die
Quatrefoil  Die
Doliy Details Die
Tag its #3 Stamp Set

Thanks again for looking!   Go make something :)

PTI 5th Year Anniversary Day One #1

It's PTI's 5th Birthday!   I cannot believe all the inspiration the DT and Nicole have provided over the past 5 years.   Nicole challenged us to make a card based on one of the DT's favorite projects over the past year.

For my first project, I chose Lisa Johnson's project.   I was inspired by her use of Mat Stack 4 and her layout. Here is her work:

Here is my take:

I used the following PTI products:

Mat Stack 4 die
Wreaths stamp set
PTI dark chocolate and Terracotta Tile inks
PTI Terracotta Tile and Rustic Twine ribbons
PTI Cane Print impression plate
PTI Terracotta Tile button
PTI Stampers' Select White Card Stock
Reflections Glitter

Thanks for looking and good luck on the challenge!

New Post....? What's that?

Hello All,

I am back from my creative break.   Actually, I lost my mojo all together at the end of the summer.   It's routine.   We go to the beach and when its all over, I crawl in a hole.    I have NOTHING to complain about, I just cant focus on making anything.

So, I am back.   Back to our home, back to school, back to work....Back to making things :)

I am always inspired by Cath's Tuesday Triggers and this one is exactly what I needed.    I am a sucker for neutrals anyway and this picture rocks.

Here is my take:

I made the base from PTI dark chocolate.   Ran a piece of kraft thru my Big shot with wood grain IP from PTI.   I stamped in smokey shadow and dark chocolate ink with Sending You stamp set.   The twine is PTI and the button was from my stash.   Love the leaf images from Sending You.   It was fun to pair grey and chocolate.

Thanks for looking.

Papertrey Dolls Congrats to Laurie Beth Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and Welcome to the last stop (I am running a bit late...sorry)  on the Papertrey Dolls' Blog Hop in honor of Laurie Beth's top 10 in the Idol Challenge over at Paper Crafts.

Our challenge was to CASE one of Laurie Beth's projects.

Here is my card:

Here is Laurie's card.   Its more of a CAS than a CASE, but I love her simple style and her use of white space.

Hope you enjoyed the HOP!

Colour Q # 94 and OTWC #57

What a unique group of colors!   The girls at Colour Q should pick out some fun combos!   I am also entering this in OTWC #57 for their anything beach challenge.    We used a sketch that I found on pineterest which you can see here.
