Papertrey Dolls Challenge # 38 and #40
Hello All,
I cant remember if we said that it was a NO NO to double up on challenges? I was working on Deena's challenge to use a background stamp, and at the last second I added a wedding sentiment. So I am posting this card for both....hope that is ok "wink"
Sara Mac's challenge was to make a wedding or anniversary card. I haven't needed a card for either of these, but I noticed that Giga Guidelines had a wedding sentiment that I liked, so I inked it up.
The background was tough!! Glad I was forced to breakout a background stamp :)
Thanks!

Papertrey Dolls Challenge # 37
I am behind on PTD's challenges, so I thought I would focus on catching up this week. My first one is for Suzanne's patterned paper challenge. Just trying it, helped me understand how difficult it is, as many of you have mentioned. I am not really happy with the result, but after messing with it forever, I just glued it down.
One new thing I messed with for this challenge was die cutting patterned paper. It has some potential, but I am not there yet.
I am so thankful for this forum that pushes me to try new things.

Scraping on the go
Hello Everyone,
I am posting from Southern California. We packed up the minivan and drove for three days to get to the coast. My DH was kind enough to let me bring tons of scrap stuff, but I still miss a few things I forgot. Oh well, necessity is the mother of invention as they say.
Here are two similar cards I made this am. I have two people who have had accidents in the past two weeks, so I made them some get well cards.
You can see the background on the lower one is a palm tree. Everything grows so well out here. Its quite a change from the burnt dirt of Texas.
Looking forward to some of my homies coming out to visit.
Wishing you all well!

Embellish #2 and CAS-ual Fridays
This is my second card for the Embellish Magazine challenge.
Again I also used the CAS-ual Friday challenge as well. It was so fun!
Hope you will go check these challenges out!

Embellish Challenge and CAS-ual Fridays
Embellish Magazine gives us a color combo+background stamping challenge.
I must admit that these colors were very very difficult for me. I messed with my three cards(but I am only entering two as per rules) for hours.
I also tried to incorporate the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. I am hoping that it is considered a sketch challenge even though its a bit different this week. Go check it out, its really fun!
Here is my first card using the row: ribbon, die felt.

Day Four of Damask Design
Hey There.....
This is my last card made with the colors from OTWC #55 and Damask Design.
I had fun trying to use them in unique ways.

Day Three of Damask Designs
For the third card, I used the colors from OTWC#55 again.
I tried to incorporate some patterned paper as well. I am not sure if you can see the small damasks on the lighter patterned paper strip at the bottom. I stamped them with Tim Holtz Distress ink in antique linen. I would love to know some of your favor colors of this ink.
I guess I will enter it in the Wee Memories challenge too :)

Day two of Damask Designs
Here is another card I made with Damask Designs from PTI. I instantly fell in love with this set when it was released, but it can be intimidating to use. This exercise (inspired by Lee Anne) really helps push your limits and creativity.
I am entering this in the OTWC #55.

OTWC #55
Those girls at OTWC are really amazing.
I love using their color combos each week. This color combo is way out of my norm. Once again, I got into it once I spent some time with it.
I made several cards with their colors and PTI Damask stamp set. I swear I picked it before I knew about the new paper and impression plate they are showing in their June release.
